Today we’ll walk through some of the best stops in the Midwest. This area holds a very unique range of rest options, so you’re sure to find whatever it is you’re looking for.
Iowa 80: Walcott, Iowa
It can’t get much more exciting that the world’s largest truck stop. On top of the general amenities, Iowa 80 holds a barber shop, chiropractor, dentist, and custom shop. Searching for entertainment? The site has a library, movie theatre, truck showroom, and so much more. If you’re looking for a one-stop-shop along the road, this is the place for you.
Trails Travel Center: Albert Lea, Minnesota
This rest stop includes a variety of restaurants, providing you with an array of meal options. If you’re looking for a pick-me-up, the travel center holds a to-go bar featuring world-blend coffees. Truckers can take advantage of quality site features such as CAT scales and laundry facilities. You can even attend Sunday church services!
Little America
This stop is great for the trucker looking for a more restful experience. This mini chain has locations throughout the country, with the largest residing in Wyoming. The fuel center includes a 24-hour convenience store and deli, laundry facility, and post office (with a notary public!). Additionally, the hotel provides driver rates for those with a valid CDL, if you’re needing a longer stay.
